My name is Saanvi Muthuchetty, and I am a junior at Woodbridge Academy Magnet School in New Jersey. My goal is to enter the medical field and specialize in the study of cancer biology. Throughout my academic journey, I have actively participated in National Honors Society, Student Government, HOSA, and UNICEF. Through these experiences, I developed an interest in the human body's potential. My commitment to sustaining an active lifestyle has been significantly influenced by my understanding of physical fitness, which not only enhances physical strength but also enhances mental clarity and concentration.
As a 1st degree black belt and an instructor in Taekwondo, I enjoy the sport and the discipline it brings. My dedication to the preservation of physical fitness and good health is also demonstrated through my participation in community service. I take part in local street fairs that focus on health-related topics, shadow physicians in their offices, and engage in volunteer work at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. Amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, I led projects to create handmade masks for local shelters, repurpose wooden boards into décor for St. Peter’s Hospital, and craft greeting cards for veterans in Afghanistan. These efforts demonstrate my belief that fitness is crucial for reaching goals, particularly in the challenging field of medicine.
